I think Crap Mariner is right, SocialRank and SweetSecondLife are full of crap. I submitted my own site to them, I also made certain blogs like Vint's and Veyron's were submitted to them, considering how much traffic they get. Not one of these four blogs show up on their social rank. Looking at SL TopSites, Technorati, and others, at least one of these sites should make it into SocialRank. But no. Electric Sheep, however, shows up twice. I think their site is broken.

Oh that lovely ranking system that puts Metaversed behind individual blogs, that still rankd SLInsider and nave never heard that it turned in Massively which isn't on the list.... and which rates SL Herald on 60th place (no matter how SLH is trash it has traffic and is quoted)....
If one wants to see rank, one goes to google or alexa or technorati. Not on some "let's use the SL hype" shitty list that is based on very obscure data.
Hi there. Thanks for your feedback. I have added both of the blogs that you mentioned into Sweet Second Life so you will start to see them being added over the next week or so.
In terms of the ranking, it is based on links and comments. So, in that sense it is more advanced than either Google or Technorati because we really look at who is talking about which blogs and we do that over time so we can have accurate rankings.
However, at times we may miss a blog so thanks for suggesting that we add these into our index.
/me stares in disbelief
/me reads it again and cracks up laughing loudly
"In terms of the ranking, it is based on links and comments. So, in that sense it is more advanced than either Google or Technorati"
Quote of the day, really. I wonder how google never thought of that ingenious algorithm.
Woo, I just squeaked in at #50!
Not that that...uh, means anything to me. I'm surprised I even show up on there at all, honestly.
There are so many things that are amusing about that comment, one, they added "both" of the blogs I mentioned. Hmmm, I think I mentioned at least three, *mine* was one of them. Sure, post to my blog, but don't add it into the rankings.
Also, it can't be that automated of a process if I "will start to see them being added over the next week or so." Is there a carrier pigeon flying the information someplace that it would take weeks to start to rank a site?
Also, I'm surprised that Google hasn't thought of the links idea either, I bet it would improve their rankings if they did that. I hope the SocialRank people haven't patented the idea so others can try it too.
October, everyone likes to look at cute nekos. And now that you've admitted to being a closet latex bimbo too, your ratings will sky-rocket ;)
Sheesh.
They posted anonymously.
Gee, that's par for the course, considering their lack of a friendly method of contacting them on their site.
Actually, the deleted comment was originally posted by them and it was from their blogger profile.
